Safisha and Sandra headed out to Atlanta last week for the Summer Gift Show. They arrived Tuesday morning and headed straight to the expo!
On the agenda – buying for next spring and summer, the major holidays like Easter and Mother’s Day and filling in the gaps for Fall and Christmas!
Each day is packed with meetings we have set up with customer favorites like Tocca Perfumes and Snoozies Slippers, but we make sure to leave gaps in our busy schedule to check out the beautiful and inspiring displays and explore for something new.
The best part of the experience? Coming up with new concepts and ways to merchandise for all the different holidays. The idea is sparked and then keeps growing and organically expanding in our minds as we get ready to bring it back into the store!
One of our exciting new ideas is our “Stocking Stuffer Bar” coming this Christmas. We will have a beautiful array of votives, mini diffusers and other beautiful small gifts perfect for any stocking on the Christmas mantle!
Check out some new items that we are excited about!
We loved the concept behind these high-quality soaps – from look to production. With their eco friendly packaging, the natural essential oils used and amazing scents, we just had to have them! Also, the linen it comes in can be used as a loofah! How cool is that?
We found the most gorgeous “Garden to Table” cookbooks by Phaidon Press. How amazing will these look highlighted in our Flower Shop?!
The Portuguese inspired packaging really caught our eye on this luxury home and body line. The perfect gift for any occasion!
We are also looking forward to all of the new jewelry that will be coming in! From beaded necklaces and bracelets by Lenny & Eva to sophisticated staples by Leslie Curtis, you might be finding us wearing more items than are on the shelves!
While finding new product is awesome, we also love to see how store staples have upped their game.
In Napa Home & Garden we found plenty of pots and vases for the Flower Shop. The Raz Spring displays were beautiful and inspiring filled with silk flowers and other seasonal merchandise. One Hundred 80 Degrees was bright and fun with all sorts of fun things like birthday hats, melamine plates and platters for the summer and everyone’s favorite – the colorful Easter bunnies!
And of course, we can’t forget all the to show you a sneak peak of some of the fun patterns we will be getting in for Christmas by one of our favorite vendors – Pomegranate. They have the best platter, tablecloths, runners and other linens for all your tablescape needs!
All in all, the trip was a whirlwind but we can’t wait to show you all the new and exciting things we have in store!
See you at Palmer’s!
