In-store you’ll find an outstanding array of house made prepared foods; the freshest produce, meats and seafood; hard-to-find imported and domestic gourmet foods; plus a complete selection of everyday groceries—all merchandised in a 20,000 square foot spotless environment. Produce
Palmer’s Produce department carries a beautiful selection of local, organic, and traditional produce from growing fields around the world. We go through every single box of produce upon arrival to guarantee the quality our customers expect. During the growing season, we source as many items as we can locally. We have established relationships with 3 farms who grow exclusively for Palmer’s Market: Sherwood Farm and Silverman’s Farm in Easton, CT and Organic produce from Avalon Farm in North Salem, NY. We are very proud of the relationships we have established with our local farms and are so happy to offer this incredible produce to you!
Meat
There are skills and trades in life that cannot be taught in a classroom or textbook, but are handed down from father to son, grandfather to grandson. In the 1920s, the Palmer family began handing down the craftsmanship of fine butchery—the experience to discern the best quality meat and the skill to carve it, trim it, and deliver it to their customers.
Palmer’s Butcher Shop carries the highest quality meats and seafood inside their full-service Butcher Shop. Everything is hand-trimmed, cut & ground to your exact specifications. We carry a large selection of Prime, Grass Fed and Angus Beef. We grind all of our beef in house several times per day. You will also find organic chicken, fresh duck and heritage varieties of pork. Our seafood is delivered fresh daily and sourced locally in season.
Grocery
We’re a traditional supermarket, but we are so much more! At 20,000 s.f., we are the perfect size store. Throughout our 12 aisles, you will find an excellent selection of everyday items at a competitive price. Looking for an item you can’t find anywhere, bring it to us and we will find it for you. Palmer’s has garnered over 40 “Best Of” awards over the past 7 years including Best Gourmet Grocer. Stop by and see what’s kept us in business for 100 years.
Specialty Foods
Our buyers travel the world (and neighborhood) searching for the finest products to carry in our store. Each January we travel to San Francisco to attend the famous Fancy Food Show and attend more than a dozen other food shows throughout the year. We pride ourselves on carrying one of the largest selections of “hard-to-find” foods and are always up to date on the latest dietary trends and needs of our customers.
Deli & Cheese
We sample hundreds of cheeses before selecting what to carry in our store. Our outstanding selection of imported & domestic cheese and award-winning charcuterie & pâtés, come from local and artisanal producers across the world. You’ll also find a diverse selection of accoutrements such as truffle honey, fruit pates, compotes and specialty crackers & biscuits. In fact, many of our products are SOFI Award winners; the food industry’s most prestigious honor, celebrating the “best of the best” in specialty food.

Bakery
Our award winning bakery is worth the trip alone! We have a delicious selection of breakfast pastries, scones, muffins and croissants. Every morning, freshly baked bread and bagels are delivered to our store from the finest bakeries in CT and NY including Eli’s, Baltazar, Hudson, Amy’s, Wave Hill, Michelina’s and Upper Crust to name just a few.
Everything “under the crystal soffit” is made from scratch using the finest ingredients. Our cupcakes, cakes, pies and seasonal desserts are just a few of the choices available every day. Our all-butter pie crusts are made by hand and every cake is custom designed and hand-made by our talented team of cake artists. Skilled in the art of both buttercream and fondant, our cakes taste as good as they look!

Palmer’s gift shop has an amazing, ever changing selection of gifts and home décor. We bring our customers the latest and greatest in seasonal decor, candles, greeting cards, gifts, jewelry, children’s toys, and kitchenware. New merchandise arrives daily and sells out quickly. Flower Shop
The moment you enter Palmer’s you are greeted by our spectacular flower department. We always carry a beautiful selection of handmade bouquets along with custom made arrangements all ready to just grab and go! Our selection of cut flowers changes with the season and we receive flowers on a daily basis. We are always complimented on how long our flowers last! We also carry flowering seasonal plants, orchids, succulents and greenery. We work with local farms to provide our summer outdoor flowers and also our spectacular wreaths and greens for the holidays.
